PostEurop is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Innovation Award and Rising Star Award, unveiled during a vibrant ceremony at the PostEurop General Assembly held in Tirana, Albania.

This year, PostEurop received 14 submissions from 14 postal operators, a record that highlights the growing importance of the Innovation Award within the European postal and logistics community. The diversity and quality of the projects reflect a sector that is not only embracing change — but actively leading it.

The Innovation Award was presented to Austrian Post for its groundbreaking project, “In-Home Delivery”. By leveraging smart lock technology, Austrian Post has redefined last-mile logistics, offering customers the ability to securely receive parcels inside their homes – even when they are away. This pioneering service sets a new benchmark for convenience, security, and sustainability in urban delivery, and marks a bold step forward in customer-centric innovation.

The Rising Star Award was awarded ex aequo to two exceptional postal operators from Southeast Europe:

  • Croatia – Hrvatska pošta, for its project “Innovative Warehouse Transformation as a Key to the Modern Logistics Chain”, which introduced a fully automated robotic warehousing system. The solution significantly improves space utilization, order processing speed, and operational safety, positioning Croatia as a regional leader in logistics modernization.
  • Serbia – Posta Srbije, for its project “Implementation of a Robotic Sorting System”, which deployed 327 autonomous robots across five logistics centers. This transformative initiative enhances sorting capacity, reduces manual labour, and enables real-time parcel tracking – demonstrating Serbia’s leap forward in automation and digital integration.

These awards reflect the dynamic evolution of the postal sector, where innovation is not just a response to change – it is a driver of progress. From AI and robotics to sustainability and digital inclusion, the 2025 submissions showcased the creativity, ambition, and resilience of postal operators across Europe.

Carlos Fernandes Bhatt, Chair of the PostEurop Innovation Forum, remarked:

“This year’s winners embody the spirit of transformation. They prove that innovation is not limited by geography or scale – it is powered by vision, collaboration, and the courage to lead. We are proud to celebrate these achievements and to continue fostering a culture of innovation across the European postal community.”

PostEurop congratulates all participants and looks forward to another year of bold ideas and impactful solutions.

Let innovation deliver the future. Together.
