PostEurop welcomes the European Commission’s review of the EU Taxonomy Climate Delegated Act and supports efforts to simplify and update the technical screening criteria.

Our feedback focuses on practical challenges faced by postal operators when applying the current rules.  In summary:

  • Create a dedicated postal activity combining 6.4, 6.5 and 6.6 to better reflect real operations and simplify reporting.
  • Recognise sustainable alternative fuels (HVO, Bio‑CNG, Bio‑LNG) as aligned for heavy‑duty vehicles, given the limited feasibility of electric and hydrogen options.
  • Deletion of Pollution prevention and control DNSH criteria for 6.5 and 6.6 due to data gaps, administrative burden and inconsistencies for electric vehicles.
  • Simplify DNSH rules for solar panels and EV charging, as current Appendix C requirements make alignment difficult in practice.
