PostEurop proudly proclaimed the winners of the 2026 CSR Coups de Cœur Awards at its General Assembly in Baku, in recognition of the excellent Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives taken by European postal operators. The three awarded projects fully showcased the indispensable role of the postal sector in supporting its workers, strengthening community ties, and leading eco-friendly practices.
Employees Category – Winner: Poste Italiane
Poste Italiane received the award for its internal entrepreneurship programme “INSIEME”. Launched in 2021 to engage employees in creating shared value for stakeholders, “INSIEME” is a dedicated platform that allows any employee to propose innovative and sustainable ideas and collaborate by contributing their skills within self-organised teams. So far, the programme has generated over 3,200 ideas with 90% engagement rate. More than 10 projects have already been implemented with significant environmental and social impact, such as the Green Fuel project which will save €2.9 million by 2030 and the shoe recycling initiative “Scarpa Vecchia” which helped reduce 60 tonnes of CO2 emission.
Economy Category – Winner: PostNL
PostNL clinched the award for its initiative “PostNL enables millions to independently access digital services”. Developed together with people with visual, physical and cognitive impairments, as well as people with low literacy levels and acquired brain injuries, the initiative identifies barriers that prevented customers from independently using PostNL services. Multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers, content specialists and product owners then worked together to improve accessibility across customer journeys. More than 250 digital barriers were identified and removed. Benefiting around 20% of Dutch citizens, the initiative supports EAA compliance and placed PostNL’s website among the world’s most accessible, ranking top 5% of the WebAIM Million.
Environment Category – Winner: La Poste Groupe
France’s La Poste Groupe won the environmental category with its “Score écologique” initiative. Launched in 2022 on laposte.fr, this user-friendly and engaging digital tool reflects the overall environmental impact across the customer journey, from packaging to delivery. The score evaluates four key impact areas: climate change, air quality, packaging circularity, and non-renewable energy consumption. To calculate your score, simply complete a short questionnaire and receive a rating from A (lowest impact) to E (highest impact). The “Score écologique” is now La Poste Groupe’s flagship environmental label for consumers, with over 900,000 users and an average rating of 4.4 out of 5. It has particularly appealed to a younger and female audience (60% are under 49 and 52% are women). 26% achieved an A rating, 63% a B, 6% a C, 3% a D, and 2% an E.
How postal operators deliver more than mail and parcel for Europe
“Not just the winners, but all the initiatives submitted for the awards showcase the extensive reach and meaningful outcomes of European postal operators’ corporate social responsibility initiatives,” stated PostEurop Secretary General Dr. Botond Szebeny.
“By addressing bullying in schools, using technology to assist less fortunate members of the local community, and giving consumers clear data on carbon emissions, postal operators demonstrate that their role extends well beyond mail and parcel delivery — they are driving social progress, equality, and environmental stewardship.”
PostEurop congratulates all participants!
