At its General Assembly in Tirana, PostEurop proudly announced the winners of the 2025 CSR Coups de Cœur Awards, recognising outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives by European postal operators. The three winning projects demonstrate the postal sector’s vital role in protecting communities, empowering employees and driving sustainability.

Employees Category – Winner: Royal Mail

Royal Mail was recognised for its “Innovative, Bespoke Mental Health Programme for Royal Mail Managers & Colleagues”. Using live drama-based workshops, digital resources, and in-house facilitators, the programme reached over 70% of managers across the UK, improving confidence in spotting signs of poor mental health and equipping leaders to support colleagues. Confidence in spotting poor mental health increased from 45% to 73%; support confidence rose from 53% to 76%. The initiative reached over 5,000 managers trained in 41 workshops across the UK.

Economy Category – Winner: Poșta Română

Poșta Română received the award for its initiative “Posta Romana Fights Against Domestic Violence”, which mobilises postmen, post offices, and communication channels to promote the Bright Sky app, a tool offering immediate support, education, and secure evidence gathering for victims of abuse. Posta Romana distributed 10,000 flyers and 50,000 posters and trained hundreds of postal staff, the project provides life-saving resources to vulnerable citizens.

Environment Category – Winner: bpost

bpost triumphed in the Environment category with its “CO₂ Calculator for Each Individual Parcel, Based on Real Data”. Fully compliant with ISO 14083 and the GLEC framework, the tool uses actual parcel data — including distance, fuel type, and weight — to provide transparent carbon reporting. Customers can monitor and reduce their footprint while tracking bpost’s decarbonisation progress through a real-time dashboard with scope 1,2 and 3 emissions and daily updates.

Celebrating innovation and responsibility

“These awards highlight the remarkable breadth and tangible impact of postal operators’ CSR efforts across Europe,” said Dr. Botond Szebeny, PostEurop Secretary General. “From tackling domestic violence and advancing mental health support, to empowering customers with carbon transparency, postal companies are proving they deliver far more than mail — they deliver progress, inclusion, and sustainability.”
