Stamps and Philately working group
The aim of the Stamps and Philately Working Group is to promote stamps and philately in general with a focus on EUROPA stamps. The working group is responsible for selecting the themes of the upcoming EUROPA stamps issues and monitor any developments that may affect European philately and EUROPA stamps. The working group also organises a European Philatelic Forum every two years.
The working group is pleased to welcome the new co-Vice-Chairs, Johanna Finne (Åland Post) and Xavier Clabots (bpost).
Johanna Finne graduated with degrees in cultural history and visual communication. She has been primarily focused on strategic design and communication in complex projects across various media formats. She brings with her 20 years of experience in the field of arts and culture and has held various positions in the creative industry including art director, designer, project manager and museum exhibition producer. Since 2021, she is responsible for the planning, design and production of Åland stamps and collectibles.
Xavier Clabots graduated from Solvay Business School in Management Engineering (Magna Cum Laude). He brings with him 14 years of experience within bpost where he began as Products & Project Manager for Philately, Stamps & Franking Labels in April 2009. Xavier then spent under two years as the Senior End-to-End Process Manager Financial Services on the product management of bpaid & bpaid gift. He then led the strategy and implementation as head of Digital Document Center (DDC) and head of Franking Factory (VAS Factory) for bpost. Since December 2022, Xavier is the Head of Philately and Stamps printing at bpost. Xavier still lectures at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.
Security working group
The Security Working Group exist to further raise the current level of postal security and help deter the occurrence of potential criminal activities. The working group aims to improve the EU’s awareness and coordination of activities within and between EU Member States in the field of Postal Security and developments in Supply Chain Security, encourage all European post offices and related authorities to assume responsibility in securing their own processes within a European wide cooperative distributed model, share best practice, knowledge and insight through international forums to establish an effective, efficient security network within the global Postal community.
Herwig Vanhoey (bpost) was appointed Vice-Chair of the Security working group. Herwig is Head of Security within the bpostgroup since 2009. He has held multiple roles in national and international working groups and consultation committees within the Financial, Banking, Transport and Security sectors. Previously, he was also the vice chair of the Aviation Security Working Group. Herwig holds a masters’ degree from the University of Brussels.
