• Correos goes for strengthening and becoming a reference within the Latin America-Europe-Asia logistics corridor
• The Company sent 135 million items for the first half of 2021, 12.6% more than the same period last year

Correos Group will launch Correos Cargo, the new air transport service for parcels and goods designed to strengthen and become a reference within the Latin America-Europe-Asia logistics corridor as a response to the increase in parcels coming from the ecommerce boom.

This project will be performed together with Iberojet airline (the airline of Ávoris, a Barcelo Group’s company), which will use Airbus A330 aircrafts to start operating the Madrid - Hong Kong - Madrid route.

This operation responds to the significant growth in the parcel business that Correos has been observing for the last years, representing a 25% increase revenue in the first half of 2021, reaching 135 million items sent, 12.6% more than in the same period of 2020.

Correos also seeks to foster the Spanish economy by helping the companies and SMEs of the country to take advantage of our strategic location to take part in a logistics corridor among Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.
