Jersey Post seeks customer opinions in annual survey

From Monday this week, all households will receive the annual customer survey from Jersey Post asking them for feedback on the postal service and its products and services throughout 2020.

Despite the disruption caused by Covid-19, Jersey Post remains committed to its service levels and is therefore asking for a tenth successive year, if islanders would be willing to spend 10 minutes completing this year’s survey. Launched in 2011, the survey supports the benchmarking of Jersey Post’s core service provision year-on-year and has also become a key source of information on the changing demands of today’s customers, helping to guide annual business priorities.

For 2020, Jersey Post was committed to delivering increased online services, providing more consistent delivery times and continuing its work on streamlining parcel services both in and out of the Island.

However, business priorities changed rapidly with the arrival of Covid-19 in March 2020, and Jersey Post was forced to rethink its business objectives. The pandemic required a shift in operational processes to adapt to a huge, and dramatic, change in mail composition. The existing global decline in letter mail has been accelerated over the last ten months and parcel volumes have seen a sustained 30% growth throughout the pandemic, with no sign of this slowing.

David McGrath, Group Marketing Director at Jersey Post said: “Covid-19 has had such a dramatic impact on many businesses, but for Jersey Post the impact was two-fold; we had a key role to play in the community which had to be carefully balanced with maintaining a sustainable and operational frontline service to keep the island moving. The commitment from our staff has been incredible and we are so very grateful for their continued dedication throughout the redesign of our entire business operation in response to the demands of the pandemic. More than ever this year, we are keen to hear as many customer opinions as possible so that we can gauge our success in the operational and community balance we have worked so hard to strike.”

Islanders have until Friday 19 February to complete and return their survey to Jersey Post. Anyone wishing to complete the survey electronically can do so online by clicking here.
