Swiss Post wins the 2019 Innovation Award

PostEurop is proud to announce Swiss Post as the winner of the 2019 Innovation Award.

The announcement and award ceremony took place during the PostEurop Plenary Assembly dinner in Jersey.

The Innovation Award aims to foster a stronger affinity and engagement in innovation concepts, ideas and findings among our Members in a consistent and continuous manner. Through the Award, PostEurop would like to recognise Members’ accomplishments in this area. 

In this third edition of the award, the organising team received 10 Innovative entries from Members: Correos Group, CTT Portugal Post, Groupe La Poste, Kazpost, Jersey Post, Poste Italiane, Russian Post, Ukrposhta, Swiss Post and PTT Turkish Post. The panel of jurors had to carefully and thoroughly analyse each entry to reach the unanimous decision on the 2019 winner. Swiss Post was proudly chosen as the 2019 winner, for their Profital project.

Profital, is Switzerland's leading shopping guide, reaching more than 300,000 active user each month. The free Profital app (iOS and Android) and website www.profital.ch gives users a simple overview of current advertising leaflets, catalogues and promotions, from shops located in their area. 

The winner was awarded the uniquely designed 3D trophy specially made for the PostEurop Innovations Award.  All the contestants were given a diploma of honour for their entries.

This year’s jury* comprised of:

  2. Jürgen Lohmeyer – Chair of the Operational Activities Circle – Vice-President
  3. João Melo – Chair of the Innovation Forum – Vice-President
  4. Marjan Osvald – Chair of the Market Activities Circle
  5. Margaux Meidinger – Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Activities-Circle
  6. Olga Zhitnikova – Chair of the Best Practices-Wider Europe Transversal
  7. David Pilkington – Chair of the Security Customs Transversal

*Jury Members were not allowed to vote for their own company's submission

"We are proud to see the commitment that PostEurop Members have towards the Innovation. This shows that postal operators are engaged in tackling the upcoming challenges of the postal Industry, in order to provide better services for our customers, given the constant market evolution. This year's winner is a prime example of how Innovation can help bring local retailers and customers closer together."  said Jürgen Lohmeyer, Chair of the PostEurop OAC. "For next year's edition, I would like to encourage more PostEurop Members to participate.  Through sharing of best practices postal operators can help to further improve one's supply chain and the European cross border delivery market" he emphasized.
