Organisational Announcement - Changes in the Management Board, Corporate Social Responsibility Circle, and in the Operational Activities Circle (OAC)

We would like to inform you of the recent changes in the Management Board, the Environment Working Group within the Corporate Social Responsibility Circle (CSR-C), as well as a change on the structure of the Operational Activities Circle (OAC) and its Retail Network Forum, which took place after the 115th PostEurop Management Board meeting held in June.

Management Board

Oliver Kaliski (Österreichische Post AG) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Management Board, thus replacing Jan Sertons (PostNL) who has retired from PostNL in June.  Jan has been elected 5 times in row into the Management Board since 2004 and spent close to  9 years in the function of the Vice-Chairman of the Management Board.  Jan will be present in the Jersey PostEurop Plenary Assembly & Business Innovation Forum (10-11 October) as a special guest.

Berend Dorgelo (PostNL) has been confirmed as a new member of the Management Board during the last Management Board meeting. Berend is Director of International Relations at PostNL (The Netherlands). He is responsible for managing and coordinating activities and relations with international organisations including customs and security matters. Berend will be taking on the position of chair of the Finance Committee within the Board and he will also be involved in the Plenary Committee.

Having started with PostNL in 2001, Berend has held various positions within PostNL including Senior Controller Consumers Market, Manager Distribution Agreements and Manager Marketing International Mail. His last role before taking on the position of Director International Relations was that of Program Manager Regulatory Affairs where he was active on domestic regulatory topics ranging from the Universal Service Obligation (USO) to the Significant Market Power legislation in The Netherlands. In the earlier part of his career, Berend worked in the area of project management for the Dutch Railways as well as Delta Lloyd, a Dutch insurance company. Berend holds a Master of Arts degree in International Economics and a Master of Science degree in Political Sciences.

Environment Working Group

Maria Rebelo (CTT Portugal Post) has been confirmed as the new Vice-Chair of the Environment Working Group, replacing her colleague Luís Paulo, who recently stepped down from the role.

Maria, is the Sustainability and Environment Manager at Portugal Post, having more than 10 years of experience in environmental and CSR matters. Graduated from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FCT NOVA) in Portugal, she is an Environmental expert, with experience in areas such as disclosure and reporting, energy and carbon project management, and environmental management systems. She is also responsible for developing the CSR action plan and projects within the social area of the company.

Operational Activities Circle

Nuno Bettencourt (CTT Portugal Post), has stepped down from his role as Vice-Chair of the Operational Activities Circle (OAC), a position he occupied since 2011.

Retail Network Forum

Hörður Jónsson (ĺslandspóstur hf), has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Retail Network Forum, replacing Jørgen Fischer (PostNord Danmark), who has served in the position since 2014.

Hörður, oversees all operations of Iceland Post concerning Post terminal, mail distribution, home delivery, post offices and parcel lockers. He joined Iceland Post in 1992 after graduating in Economics. In 1997, he became responsible for the post office network in Iceland, covering retail and all sorting and distribution outside the capital area.
