Ukrposhta won World Post & Parcels Awards 2019 in two categories

Ukrposhta has won two prestigious World Post & Parcel Awards 2019 in the categories of Corporate Social Responsibility and Postal E-Commerce.

The award ceremony took place during the black-tie gala dinner held on Tuesday 18th June in Dublin (Ireland).

"Three years ago nobody would have believed it, but it's reality now. Ukrposhta is ahead of the Posts from Australia, Singapore, Estonia and ranks among other winners of this year's World Post & Parcel Awards: DHL, eBay, Royal Mail etc. It is our victory and the trust from our customers who support us and our changes, which we are very grateful for. And, of course, it is the result of the work of Ukrposhta’s International Operations Department, assisted by all other units responsible for delivery, sorting, registration of postal items, IT solutions etc. I am also grateful to the team of our shareholder, the Ministry of Infrastructure for its confidence in and support of Ukrposhta's reforms," said Igor Smelyansky, Director General of Ukrposhta.

"Ukrposhta is now among the world's leading postal and logistic players: the World Post & Parcel Awards 2019 has recognized our work. We are happy to see international appreciation of our best e-commerce technology, E-Export School export support program and modern digital and online business solutions such as API, mobile application, Personal Account, chat bots in Viber, Telegram and Facebook. Our solutions have already inspired other private and national postal operators," said Julia Pavlenko, Director of Ukrposhta’s International Operations Department.

E-Export Support Program, recognized in the Postal E-Commerce category, includes special tariffs for exporters for the delivery of e-commerce postal items, automatic cumulative discount system, online and digital customer interaction channel: API, mobile application, Personal Account, chat-bots in Viber, Telegram and Facebook.

Ukrposhta has also become the winner in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. Here, the company presented a comprehensive E-Export School export support program for small and medium-sized enterprises with open online and offline workshops and 25 video records on its YouTube channel. Over the course of the School's existence, more than 20 thousand learners from Lviv, Lutsk, Kramatorsk, Sievierodonetsk, Odesa and Sumy have attended the workshops and more than 100 thousand people have watched the videos online.

E-Export School has worked in partnership with CUTIS (Canada-Ukraine Trade and Investment Support), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Craft it! within the framework of the EU funded Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme (eaptc.eu) administered by the German organization Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The World Post & Parcel Awards has been around for more than 20 years (known as the World Mail Awards before 2015). Every year this open competition gets entries from postal and express delivery companies and companies that create technological solutions for automation and information exchange in the postal and logistics sector. This year, out of hundreds of applications the jury has selected 3 best projects in each of the 9 categories.

Ukrposhta is proud to rank among past winners in the Corporate Social Responsibility category such as the Posts of Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Portugal, and companies rewarded in the Postal E-Commerce category such as the Posts of Poland, the USA, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Ireland.
