Purchase of 72.13% of the shares in Intereuropa d.d. Before the completion of the transaction and the transfer of ownership of the shares, which is anticipated in the second half of this year, certain conditions precedent must be met; these include the issue of a decision by the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency that the concentration complies with competition rules. Following the completion of the purchase of the majority holding, Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. will announce a takeover bid for the purchase of the remaining shares in Intereuropa d.d., which are listed on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, by the deadlines prescribed by law.

In the event of the successful completion of the takeover of Intereuropa, Pošta Slovenije will become the largest logistics firm in Slovenia, with the aim of becoming a leading operator in the logistics market in the broader region of south-eastern Europe. Parcel operations and logistics services are the main pillars of Pošta Slovenije’s business, and the core of its strategy.

The Pošta Slovenije Group generated net sales revenue of EUR 250.7 million in 2018. Net profit in the amount of EUR 10.4 million was up on 2017, when it amounted to EUR 8.9 million. The subsidiaries generated consolidated revenues of more than EUR 34 million. Postal services accounted for 77% of the net sales revenue in 2018, cash services for 7%, logistics services for 6% and other services for 10%. The largest growth in revenues from postal services is recorded by revenues from parcel services and logistics services, while revenues from cash services and other services are broadly unchanged. The importance of parcel and logistics services at the Pošta Slovenije Group is increasing rapidly: they now account for just under a fifth of all services.
