World Wildlife Day

Pencil in 3rd March 2018.

World Wildlife Day is being celebrated globally on this date. It has become the single most important annual event dedicated to wildlife.

Royal Mail has committed itself to taking action to stem the trade in wildlife products and will continue to work with other industries, governments and non-governmental organisations (like the WWF) to tackle this illicit trade. We have recently become members of the logistics group of the United for Wildlife (UFW) which is a collaboration of organisations who are proactively coming together to tackle this trade. Royal Mail International’s staff work closely with our partners in Border Force on a daily basis.

Elephants - These powerful, majestic animals sadly can’t be fully protected against poachers in their natural habitat. So Royal Mail is working closely with @WildlifeDay to stop the trade and illegal trafficking of these amazing creatures.
