Taking onboard the key issues facing postal operators today, it was important to review and align all the activities of the transversal. Hence, based on this restructure the Crisis and Security Manager working group has been given a new set of objectives and is now called the Security Working Group.
The Management Board has approved the appointment of Robert Hoeksma, from PostNL as Chair of the Security Working Group, in the last meeting.
Robert is the Corporate Security Officer (CSO) at PostNL. He is responsible for managing, organizing and leading security matters within the PostNL Group to ensure a secure level of operations in order to prevent any threat which could adversely affect the business of PostNL and its stakeholders. He ensures that adequate measures, procedures, checks and balances are in place, in areas mainly covering Asset Protection, Loss Prevention and Security Information Management. He is also a member of the PostNL Integrity Committee.
Prior to joining PostNL in 2015, Robert has held similar roles including as Head of Security for Brink’s in Belgium and the Netherlands, and Site Safety & Security Manager for ESA/ESTEC (European Space Research and Technology Centre).
