Public search for the Chair of the Executive Board of AS Eesti Post

The Supervisory Board of AS Eesti Post announces a public search for the position of the Chair of the Executive Board of the enterprise.

The search has been announced in relation to the expiry of the contract of service of Aavo Kärmas, current Chairman of the Executive Board, on 30 April 2017.

“Eesti Post is an important information and logistics enterprise for all of us. It has to ensure the timely delivery of letters and newspapers to recipients even in the most remote villages, as well as make sure that things ordered from e-stores are delivered fast and efficiently. E-commerce is a fast developing area all over the world, which is why the importance of this enterprise is growing in Estonian economy,” said Urve Palo, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology, and added, “I believe that managing such an enterprise is a worthy challenge for Estonian top-level managers. This is why I am expecting a tight competition.”

According to Merike Saksa, Chair of the Supervisory Board, the right candidate is expected to have good knowledge of the business of logistics and e-commerce, higher education preferably in the area of economy, logistics, or finance, and at least three years of work experience as a manager of a large enterprise. “It is important to have strategic thinking, high tolerance for stress, and an impeccable business reputation,” said Saks.

 The Chair of the Executive Board is required to have access to state records or the willingness to apply for it.
