Year-end holiday season: La Poste pulls out all the stops for year-end deliveries

As every year, as Christmas approaches, La Poste mobilizes all its employees to make its customers’ life easier and guarantee the deliveries of all parcels.

The year-end holiday season is a key period for e-commerce. Lack of time, more choice or comfort, search for the best prices ... 78% * of the French population have browsed the web to prepare or buy their Christmas and New Year gifts. And 2016 looks like a new record year!

Because this period of hectic activity is a challenge for La Poste, the operator implements an exceptional plan to meet the expectations of its corporate and individual customers and simplify their lives. More than 100,000 factors, deliverers, post office employees are mobilized to process and distribute twice as many parcels as usual. In 2015, the holiday season thus represented a volume of 46 million parcels processed, i.e. nearly 20% of the annual traffic.


Enhanced transport plan, mobilization of all postal workers, interactive and personalized delivery... La Poste is preparing to process up to 2.5 million parcels per day during this holiday season compared to one million in normal times!
