The customers of Allegro Store can already use three types of parcels operated by Poczta Polska: Allegro registered letter, Pocztex Ekspres 24 and Pocztex Kurier 48.
So far Poczta Polska has only served the persons and stores selling through Allegro. Now it will also operate the store belonging to the platform. The cooperation with Allegro Store is an element of the consistently executed strategy of Poczta Polska, which assumes expansion on the e-commerce logistics market, maintaining the highest quality of services and with maximum use of modern technologies. Poczta Polska will operate c. 1.5 million orders annually and is ready to extend the cooperation to other areas.
‘The implementation of a two-year contract for operation of Allegro Store builds up our position on the e-commerce market and is a great success for the sales team. Our offer was selected not only because it met the expectations of Allegro regarding the quality of services, but also due to its willingness to cooperate with a reliable operator,’ says Rafał Pietrwalski, Deputy Sales Director for Product Offer in Corporate Client Division. According to the data provided by Poczta Polska, the company operates 60% of the parcels on Allegro platform.
The biggest network of parcel collection points
For the customers of Allegro Store, an important argument for the choice of delivery by Poczta Polska can be the biggest network of post and courier parcel collection in the country, owned by the operator. In November this year Poczta Polska will extend its click & collect network with 1,700 RUCH kiosks and stores. The click & collect service covers also 4,100 of Poczta Polska units and 1,000 of Orlen petrol stations. Together with RUCH points, the customers have nearly 7 thousand parcel collection points at their disposal. The strategy of Poczta Polska assumes further increase in the number of parcel collection points – it is planned that there will be as many as 10 thousand of them in 2017.
Poczta Polska as a strategic partner of Allegro
The cooperation with Allegro Store is a big business success for Poczta Polska, which can be the beginning of further collaboration. According to the survey by Gemius/PBI, in September this year Allegro.pl had 15.39 million real users and reported 1.13 billion visits. Allegro has been recently sold by Naspers, a SA based international media concern, for 3.25 billion dollars (12.7 billion zlotys). The buyer was Cinven, Permira and Mid Europa Partners, a group of funds. The transaction has been one of the biggest ones in the history of the Polish internet. To compare, Onet website was sold for 969 million zlotys in 2012 and Wirtualna Polska changed its owner for 383 million zlotys.
