Omniva opens the Baltic parcel machine network to partners

Next year, Omniva will be opening its parcel machine network in all Baltic countries to other partners as well.

“Omniva has the biggest parcel machine network in Estonia, as well as in the Baltics and we can see that opening it up for other partners will boost the ever-growing e-commerce,” says Ansi Arumeel, the Member of the Board at Omniva. “Although some might see sharing our network as giving up our competitive advantage, we as a business believe in the driving force of collaboration, and not in establishing competitive infrastructures. Therefore, we decided to take the first step in advancing collaboration.”

To open the parcel machine network for partners in Estonia, Lithuania, and in Latvia, it is necessary to develop the software, so that using the parcel machines would be fast and simple both for logistics companies and for recipients.

“Our goal is to bring the service as close to our customers as possible and to make the whole process of receiving parcels as convenient as possible. Expanding the network and opening it up for others to use is yet another step towards achieving this,” says Arumeel.

In parallel to technological preparations, Omniva is holding first negotiations with interested companies regarding using the network.

Omniva, with its 205 parcel machines, has the largest parcel machine network in the Baltics. In autumn, it will increase by 28 percent, with parcel machines being established in new locations in Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.
