That is an increase of 25% compared to last year. On 2 December 2014, PostNL delivered over 1 million parcels. It seems Sinterklaas is opting for the convenience of online shopping more and more.

‘Our 18 sorting centres have been working full steam for several days. We have 3,100 parcel delivery drivers working today. That is 500 more than we would have on an average delivery day. It’s also great that we are delivering five evenings a week this year. That means even more of Sinterklaas’ helpers are on their way to deliver all the presents on time,’ says PostNL Parcels Director Gerrit Mastenbroek.
