The profit amounted to 16.1 million UAH, which is 40% above the target. Mr. Igor Tkachuk, Acting Director General of the state-owned enterprise, made this announcement at the press-conference in the Ukrainian Crisis Media Centre on the 10th August 2015.
“In spite of the social and economic situation in the country, a total loss of the market of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and a partial loss of the market of the Regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, Ukrposhta showed positive results in profit growth, as in the first quarter of this year,” said Igor Tkachuk. “In the six months of 2015 Ukrposhta made UAH 2.178 billion, which is 12.4 % more than in the same period last year and 10.5% above the target. With positive results in profit growth the enterprise will be able to modernize its services and enhance the quality of its work.”
Over the six months the average monthly salary increased by 8.1% compared to the first half of 2014 to UAH 1995. Ukrposhta has no arrears in payments into the budgets or state special-propose funds.
