Harun Maden was born in Istanbul in 1960 and is married with four children. Mr. Maden graduated from the Istanbul Technical University Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering. He is also fluent in English.

Mr. Maden served as the senior manager at numerous companies in Turkey. His positions include the following: the General Director of Global Communication Co., the General Director of Teletek Telecommunication Co., in Management Consultation at Turk Telekom Co., as both a member of the Board of Directors and as the General Manager at the European Association of Directory Publishers, and he was the Deputy General Manager at Datatechnic Computer Systems Co, Mr. Maden was lastly serving as the General Manager of Belbim Co. - one of the subsidiaries of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

He has been appointed CEO and Chairman of the Board of Turkish PTT Corp. on 18.03.2015.
