Polish Post: Envelo allows users to send registered letters online

Polish Post has enabled customers to send a registered letter from home or office with a new service available through the Envelo platform.

Also available is Envelo Mailbox with the first instalment of the Trusted Account.
- Up to now registered letters could be sent only at the post office. Now, they can also be sent through the Envelo platform at any time and from any location. No need to even leave your home or office -  emphasises Grzegorz Świdwiński, CEO of the Polish Post Digital Services responsible for e-services in the Polish Post Group.

The Envelo user simply needs to open the tab „new mailing”, choose neoletter, click Printed option and choose the type of mailing - regular letter, registered letter or registered + POD (proof of delivery). The content of the letter can be typed in the text editor available on the platform or can be attached as a PDF, for example with scans of documents. When choosing the registered mail, user will receive proof of dispatch in PDF format free of charge. In the case of registered mail with POD, sender will receive both proof of sending and proof of delivery in PDF files at no extra charge. If sender requires additional delivery confirmation in traditional form - so called yellow card - it is available as option at additional fee, the same as the fee charged at the post office. Printed registered letter will be delivered to recipient by postman.

Registered letter from the internet is very convenient, especially for companies and institutions that send large volumes of important correspondence. Through the Envelo secure mailbox they can send offers, agreements, terms of use or requests for payment. Thanks to printed neoletter businesses can save time on printing, putting letters in envelopes and going to post office.

Future in the Envelo mailbox

Envelo platform allows customers to use Trusted Account. This service guarantees the highest level of correspondence security. It is intended only for verified users.

- All you have to do is to confirm your identity once at the Polish Post office. Trusted Account holders will gain access to our next new service - electronic neoletter. Envelo Mailbox is the starting point for convenient and fully secure electronic communication -  explains Grzegorz Świdwiński.

Authentication at the post office ensures that Trusted Account is linked to a real person or company. It also allows the use of the new functionality - electronic neoletter that can be sent as regular letter or registered letter. In the case of registered letter, If the sender receives proof of sending and information that the letter has been received and read by recipient. Dates are confirmed by a digital Time Stamp.

While implementing the Trusted Account for Envelo mailbox users, the platform is also preparing to start offering letter scanning service. This new service will enable users to receive letters via internet. A customer who signs a contract with the Polish Post, will receive in his Envelo mailbox scan of the envelope. Then the customer will decide if the post office is to destroy the letter without opening, open and send the scan of the content or deliver it traditionally to the indicated address unopened.

Use Envelo and tell your friends about it. Visit www.envelo.pl (English version also available), make your personal account and send register letters.
