Turkish Post PTT Enlarging Its Electric Fleet

Turkish Post PTT acknowledges its responsibility towards the environment; and in line with its corporate strategy, Turkish Post PTT is dedicating itself to increase the number of electric vehicles in its fleet.

In addition to electric vehicles operating on the islands in Istanbul, Turkish Post PTT introduced its new customized electrical vehicles in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. These new vehicles are 100% electric, and provide zero-carbon emissions, they consume up to seven times less energy than the traditional vehicles, hence reducing energy cost. On a technical note, they can reach up to 55 km/hrs. and travel up to 220 kilometers. These vehicles can be charged within 4 to 9 hours.

Upon starting a new era in e-commerce parcel deliveries, Turkish Post PTT is also aiming at growing its electric vehicle’s fleet throughout the country. Moreover, 40% of its fleet will be composed of electric vehicles by 2030.
