Organisational Announcement

We would like to inform you of the recent changes within the PostEurop Operational Activities Circle (OAC), European Union Affairs Committee (EAC), Market Activities Circle (MAC) and within the Security & Customs Transversal (SCT), following the PostEurop 124 Management Board meeting.

Operational Activities Circle (OAC)

Aram Sarkisyan (JSC Russian Post) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Innovation Forum, succeeding his JSC Russian Post colleague Timofey Shirin.

Aram began to work at the Russian Post in 2019 as a Manager in Strategy at the International Business department. He is responsible for the development of JSC Russian Post mid-term and long-term strategy as well as M&A and International holding strategy. In addition, Aram develops and designs key projects of Russian Post’s international business, including IT platforms, transit infrastructure and other. Aram’s experience also includes working as a strategy consultant in companies like Deloitte and PwC, as well as education development consultant in World Bank.

Born in the Armenian capital of Yerevan in 1992, Aram is living in Moscow since 1993. He graduated from the University College of London, Department of Economic Sciences. He is fluent in English, Russian and Armenian.

On behalf of all Members, we would like to welcome Aram in his new role and to wish him all the success in the respective function. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Timofey for all the accomplishments within the Innovation Forum, and for his contribution to the PostEurop community.

About the Innovation Forum

The Innovation Forum aims to foster discussions on the latest developments in information and communication technology, to develop and improve efficiency and to inspire Members on ways to improve Quality of Service through new value-added services and IT-integrated customised solutions. 

On 2-3 December 2021, the acclaimed forum will take place in the virtual space thanks to João Melo, Chair of the Innovation Forum and Aram Sarkisyan, as its new Vice-Chair.  A panel of speakers will focus on Innovation trends and strategies during and post the COVID-19 era. A series of start-ups have been invited to present their Innovative solution, exploring new service areas.

European Union Affairs Committee (EAC)

The Services of General Economic Interest Monitoring Activity (SGEIMA) will be disbanded given the lack of recent developments. While the WTO Working Group (WTOWG), it will be transformed into WTO Monitoring Activity (WTOMA).

The Aviation Security Working Group (ASWG) will be merged into the Security Working Group (SWG) under Security and Customs Transversal (SCT) given the interconnection of the activities.

Market Activities Circle (MAC)

The Market Activities Working Group will be disbanded given the lack of recent activity. While the Emerging Industry Trends Task Force (EITTF) will be transformed into Emerging Industry Trends Working Group (EITWG).

Security & Customs Transversal (SCT)

The Coronavirus Contact Group (CCG) will be merged with Crisis Managers Network, into Crisis & Continuity Management Working Group (CCMWG).
