Sber will Support HayPost in Introducing Innovative IT Solutions for Transport

Settlement Solutions JSC, member of Sber's ecosystem, and Haypost signed an agreement on cooperation during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The document was signed by Kirill Tsarev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, Mikhail Kazakov, CEO of Settlement Solutions JSC, and Hayk Karapetyan, CEO of HayPost.

The parties plan to cooperate in the following areas:

  • Generalization and systematization of the experience of Sber and Settlement Solutions in the introduction of innovative IT products, payment services and solutions in the field of transport; exchange of experience and technologies with HayPost;
  • Implementation of the project of introduction of transportation technological platform for cashless payments in transport in Yerevan city on the basis of technologies and projects developed by Settlement Solutions;
  • Transfer to HayPost and introduction of a modern equipment for payments in transport used by Sberb, as a part of innovative solutions in the field of transportation and cashless payments for transport in Yerevan;
  • Identification of other areas of cooperation in the fields of high technologies, logistics, retail business and trade, payment and settlement and other financial and banking services with the involvement of such companies as SberTech and SberLogistics (subsidiary companies of Sber), iNovation, HayPost Retail (subsidiary companies of HayPost) and other subsidiary structures.

As the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Kirill Tsarev mentions, "This agreement reflects our focus on the joint development of transportation ticketing solutions and payment services for public transportation in Armenia. Due to the technologies, expertise and rich experience of our subsidiaries Settlement Solutions, SberTech and SberLogistic, we will be able to provide systematic support to HayPost in introduction of innovative IT-products".                

As the CEO of HayPost Hayk Karapetyan indicates, "Sberbank's payment IT solutions used in transport have proved their effectiveness both in Moscow and in other regions of the Russian Federation. I am sure that with the localization of this advanced technology of contactless payments in transport Haypost can ensure rapid introduction of contactless payments in transport in all cities of Armenia. This is our first joint project and we are looking forward to long and fruitful cooperation between Sber and HayPost".
