Insurance, cargo transportations, household services: Russian Post enters new markets along with startups from the corporative accelerator

Russian Post has signed partnership agreements with four startup finalists of the corporate accelerator, which was, launched in cooperation with Skolkovo last year.

Russian Post chose 10 projects from 301 applications, which entered company`s business processes, and started testing their technologies within the Post. The aim of the startups is to find new income sources and tools for cost reduction.

Insurion startup insures against delays and losses of parcels guaranteeing customers compensations in case of any problems with delivery.  Notwithstanding that the majority of parcels are received on time, 6% of shipments do not meet deadlines. In  case of delay, Insurion automatically fixes the problem and pays insurance coverage; a consumer does not even have to write claims or to prove the fact of delay. Russian Post and Insurion concluded a contract on creation, development and promotion of insurance products for delivery time.

Soyuzgruz startup is an uber-like transport aggregator. Russian Post and Soyuzgruz concluded a contract on development of the new type of service in the portfolio of the postal operator – intra and inter-city delivery service of bulky goods. Russian Post will send applications on transport services from private and corporate clients to Soyuzgruz, which will find a responsible party according to volumes and extra services (loading, unloading). The service is already available in St. Petersburg and is expected to appear in Moscow soon.

GorServ startup is a marketplace for household services. GorServ looks for qualified contractors, issues company bills, checks by secret buyers and gives guarantees for work on its own. Under the contract with Russian Post GorServ fulfills requests from company`s clients and visitors of pochta.ru portal.  

Geecko startup provides services for recruitment and evaluation of IT staff. Russian Post and the startup concluded a contract on support of HR for Pochtatech (IT subsidiary of Russian Post responsible for internal development).

Other startups continue to explore ways to engage with Russian Post.
