Organisational Announcement

We would like to inform you of the recent changes within the PostEurop RADAR Transversal, and in the European Union Affairs Committee (EAC), which took place after the PostEurop virtual Plenary Assembly

RADAR Transversal

The “small” postal operators of PostEurop had identified the need for regular exchange among themselves on a wide range of common topics taking into account their business specificities which led to the creation of the RADAR (REACTIVITY AGILITY, DECISION, ADAPTABILITY, RESULT) Transversal in 2018.  Due to their size, local proximity, limited resources and often shorter decision-making channels, the RADAR Transversal members have the vocation to become an operational think tank by combining the economic and social efficiency.

Milan Martinović (Pošta Crne Gore) has been confirmed as the new Chair of the RADAR Transversal, following the departure of Jean-Luc Delcroix (La Poste Monaco) and Valérie Ballouhey-Dauphin (Post Luxembourg) respectively from the position.

Milan has been working at Pošta Crne Gore (Montenegro Post) since 1992. He is Chief Advisor for International Relations & Strategic Development, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors. Throughout his professional career, he had served four terms as CEO of Montenegro Post, and as President of the Board of Directors for one term. In addition to the postal experience, he has worked for the Electrical appliances industry, “Obod" in Cetinje, Montenegro and for the Public Works Administration of the Government of Montenegro as a Director. Milan has a vast knowledge and experience in postal technology and postal payment operations.

European Union Affairs Committee (EAC)

Postal Directive Working Group

The Postal Directive Working Group is a platform where members can get informed and discuss the latest European developments and regulatory practices. The working group monitors the European postal reform process thanks to a precise analysis of the various initiatives taken by European institutions (legislative proposals, studies, impact assessments, etc.) and maintains a permanent dialogue with all postal regulatory stakeholders.

Margriet Keijzer (PostNL) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Postal Directive working group, thus succeeding her PostNL colleague Jan-Bart Henry, who will retire at the end of the year.

Margriet works as Director EU Affairs at PostNL, where she is responsible for overseeing PostNL’s engagement with public authorities at European level and work with PostNL’s leadership team to ensure there is a clear understanding of relevant EU and industry issues. Margriet brings many years of work experience in trade associations and EU institutions to this new role. Prior to working for PostNL, she worked for 7 years representing the interests of retailers in Brussels and before that in different positions at the European Commission, European Parliament and Amcham EU.

On behalf of all Members, we would like to welcome Milan and Margriet in their new roles and wish them success in their future in their respective functions. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jean-Luc, Valérie, and Jan-Bart for all their contribution, dedication, and accomplishments for the greater benefit of the PostEurop community.

Sincerely,

Botond Szebeny
PostEurop Secretary General
