This year the most beautiful EUROPA stamps issued are based on the theme “National Birds”. European postal operators are showcasing these magnificent creatures on stamps to help promote their role in society and contribution to the environment. It is also the first time ever in the history of EUROPA stamps, a group of designated postal operators agree to let technology meet print through the Innovative EUROPA BirdProject.
The EUROPA BirdProject consists of a compilation of visual, text and audio library of each participating stamp placed on a special platform, which can now be accessed via the CEE App. Stamp collectors can simply download the app to their smart devices and scan the image of the stamp from participating countries and listen to the beautiful and distinct humming of the bird depicted on the design in a loop. Moreover, collectors will also have access to specific information's related to each participating stamp at their fingertips and they will also be able to access the Postal Operator's online store and order the stamps directly there.

"In addition to this year's EUROPA Stamps issue, some stamps will be brought to life, via a smartphone App technology. This mobile app allows us to get closer to the beautiful creature on the stamp and to listen to its unique sounds, which can take us into the world of nature any single moment. Given this, we also wish that EUROPA will be able to help with promotion of European Ornithology, which reflects the magnificent biodiversity that we have throughout Europe" said Agnieszka Trząskowska, Chair of the PostEurop Stamps & Philately Working Group.
"We are really happy to see our technology being implemented to deliver an unifying experience throughout Europe. Having worked with mostly major brands such as Coca Cola, Mazda, Unilever to name a few, we are enthusiastic to add the postal companies to the list of innovators." said Petrit Kabashi, from the CEE Platform.
