Organizational Announcement - Changes in Operations and CSR

We would like to inform you of the following changes in the Operations Working Group, in the Green Mobility Forum and in the Corporate Social Responsibility Circle (CSR)

We would like to inform you of the following changes in the Operations Working Group and in the Green Mobility Forum within the Operational Activities Circle (OAC), and in addition the Corporate Social Responsibility Circle (CSR), which took place after the approval of the 111th PostEurop Management Board meeting.

Operations Working Group

Jørgen Sondrup (PostNord) has been appointed as the new Chair of the Operations Working Group, following the departure of Ján Bojnanský, who decided to embrace a new challenge at the Universal Postal Union (UPU), after having actively led the working group for several years. Prior to taking-up the position of Chair, Jørgen supported Ján as Vice-Chair of the Working Group.

Iwona Majcherek (Poczta Polska S.A.) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Operations Working Group.

After joining Poczta Polska S.A. in 1993, Iwona has held various positions within the company.  She is currently the Product Manager within the Strategy, Development and International Affairs Department. In this position she is responsible for the international cooperation under the UPU/PostEurop and IPC projects, where she manages the IPS system on international traffic, as well as the EPG Project. Iwona has been an active member of the PostEurop Process Assessment expert’s team, Quality of Service and Operations Working Groups.

Graduated from the University Faculty of Economic Sciences in Warsaw, she has completed several training courses in the UPU-PostEurop Quality of Service projects, EMS Cooperative Workshops and Seminars. She has also studied foreign services as part of the Postal Services Study in Japan Post.

Green Mobility Forum

Sašo Turk (Pošta Slovenije, d.o.o.) has been appointed has the Chair of the newly established Green Mobility Forum.

In 2013, after several years of professional experience in different companies, Sašo joined Pošta Slovenije, d.o.o. as Senior Adviser to the Executive Management. In this position he was responsible for preparing the company’s logistic strategy, including the management of projects to further develop their delivery solutions, which also embrace the E-Mobility and E-Logistics sectors.

Amongst the described functions, he was also responsible for identifying startup companies, managing acquisition projects and planning commercial and sales strategies, which allows them to enter new markets. Although he is currently the Director of PS Logistika, a subsidiary of Pošta Slovenije, d.o.o. Sašo also kept some of his previous functions, namely within the E-Mobility and E-Logistics sectors.

Graduated from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, Sašo holds a degree on Organization and Management and a Master on International Economy.

André Jäntges (Deutsche Post DHL), has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Green Mobility Forum.

André began his career with Deutsche Post DHL in 1997 as liaison officer for the Universal Postal Union (UPU), PostEurop and International Post Corporation (IPC).  In his current role with International Relations he keeps a close eye on E-Mobility trends and supports DPDHL’s E-Mobility units on international issues.

With more than 15 years of experience in International Relations, Key Account Management and Strategic Projects, having its country focus on China, France, Italy, Switzerland and Latin America, André managed to develop the necessary skills to build a strong professional focus on green mobility.

He holds a Master in Political Science & International Relations from the Free University of Berlin and a Master in Mediation, from the Law Faculty of Fern Universität Hagen, in Germany. He speaks German, English, French and Portuguese.

Corporate Social Responsibility Circle

Margaux Meidinger (Le Groupe La Poste) has been appointed as Interim-Chair of the CSR Circle, following the departure of her colleague Nathalie Ganzel, who after several years within Le Groupe La Poste, took on a new challenge at La Poste Monaco. The call for candidates of the CSR Circle has been launched.

On behalf of all Members, we would like to welcome Jørgen, Iwona, Sašo, André and Margaux in their new roles. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank both Ján and Nathalie for all of the work developed in their respective functions, and to wish them the best of luck in their new professional experiences.
