Post11 chosen as the Supply Chain Achiever of the Year

This year marks the second time that the title of the Supply Chain Achiever of the Year was awarded at the international Business Conference of the Estonian Supply Chain Association PROLOG.

This year, the title was awarded to Omniva’s subsidiary company Post11, which organises international e-commerce.

While resenting the award, Tõnis Hintsov, the Chairman of the Board of PROLOG, added that Post11 has been a successful implementer of the concept of bringing Asian e-goods to Europe. In fact, Post11 has been extremely successful in this regard – the company has created a distribution centre of Asian products in Estonia and has exported this concept outside of Estonia with great success as well. “Although Post11 has not managed to make up for the tonnes of coal transit that Estonia has lost, the number of shipments is significantly higher thanks to the activities of Post11 and Estonia is still seen as a part of the Asian-European silk road,” said Hintsov.

Gunnar Aru, the Head of Operations at Post11, commented when accepting the award that whereas in the past, the logistics service has been conducted primarily B2B, it is transforming more into a B2C service. “Get ready for this so that there can be more companies like Post11 in Estonia,” recommended Aru.

The title of the Supply Chain Achiever of the Year is awarded by the Estonian Supply Chain Association to a company or person who has stood out with innovativeness in their supply chain management or has improved the business environment in a way that allows for more efficient supply chains.

Omniva is an international group that offers postal, logistics and information logistics services. The group includes the parent company AS Eesti Post, the subsidiary AS Maksekeskus, the Lithuania-based subsidiary  UAB Omniva LT, the Latvia-based SIA Omniva and the related company OÜ Post11, which provides e-merchants with international logistic solutions for the delivery of goods across the world.

PROLOG is a vital link between the Estonian supply chain management (SCM) community and SCM professionals worldwide. Through global marketing actions, the Association assists its members in developing their businesses in target markets. It provides the so-called all-in-one service – the customer can simultaneously find overviews, business contacts and support.
