We would like to inform you of the following changes in the VAT Working Group, within the European Union Affairs Committee (EAC) and in the Training Working Group, within the Corporate Social Responsibility Activity Circle (CSR-C), which took place after the approval of the 108th PostEurop Management Board meeting.

VAT Working Group

Annelie Rietveld is an active member of the PostEurop VAT WG since 2013 representing PostNL.  She has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Working Group, thus replacing Barbara Neuhold (Österreichische Post AG), who recently left the position.

Annelie works as an Indirect Taxation Manager at PostNL, where she is responsible for all VAT and customs related topics, not only in the Netherlands but also globally. The key focus of her work remains in maintaining a strong external network while representing PostNL’s specific Postal and VAT needs at various (national and international) organizations. In this respect she has also contributed as a business advisor for the postal sector to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) work on the VAT/GST taxation of imports of low value goods. Furthermore, she has been appointed as a delegate in the EC Customs 2020 Working Group.

Annelie graduated from the Universities of Utrecht (the Netherlands) and Sydney (Australia), she also holds a Master degree in Fiscal and Civil Law. Before joining PostNL, Annelie worked as VAT advisor at Ernst & Young in the Netherlands and United Kingdom, PWC and CMS Derks Star Busmann.

Training Working Group

Afroditi Riga from Hellenic Post S.A. - ELTA has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the Training Working Group, replacing Ioana Marinescu (C.N. Posta Romana S.A.) and Özlem Aydodgu (Turkish PTT) who left the position.

A familiar face at PostEurop, Afroditi has been working in the International Relations Division of Hellenic Post S.A. since 2006, where she serves as a Communications Manager and contact person with the International Organizations.  She is actively involved and coordinates, on behalf of ELTA’s Project Teams, various co-financed European training partnership programs. She is also a research associate of KEK-ELTA S.A. (ELTA’s Vocational Training Centre).

She holds an MSc Degree in Mass Media & Communication, a B.Sc. in Linguistics from Athens National and Kapodistrian University, as well as a Professional Diploma in Social Media.

On behalf of all our Members, we would like to welcome Annelie and Afroditi in their new roles. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Barbara, Ioana and Özlem for their work and commitment within the VAT Working Group and Training Working Group, respectively.
