At Deutsche Post DHL SIMSme Business optimizes company communication

The new Management Cockpit enables comprehensive control of instant messaging within the company and makes communication even more simple and secure

SIMSme Business, the company version of Deutsche Post's instant messenger, offers simple and - above all - secure communication within companies via a smartphone. In time for the industry trade fair CeBIT, Deutsche Post is now presenting a new feature with its Management Cockpit, once again significantly expanding the app's management options with regard to communication, design and IT security.

The content channels, which will already be familiar from the private-customer version of SIMSme, are now also used in SIMSme Business for the first time. This involves company-specific channels that can be populated in the new Management Cockpit and assigned to employees or employee groups - at team or department level, for example. Messages that are sent via the channels then land in real time as a push notification on the employee's smartphone, enabling much faster communication within the company. Of course, opening rates can be tracked anonymously in order to provide the sender with information about the relevance of the transmitted content.

There are also exciting developments with the app's design options. SIMSme Business can now be adapted in self-service mode to the relevant corporate design of the company. Just upload your own logo as well as the individual color scheme, and the app is displayed in a brand-compatible way.

In order to satisfy the security requirements of companies, the Management Cockpit allows the centralized management of users and licenses. This is especially important after an employee leaves the company, so that further access to company data is prevented. The app's range of functions can also be adapted to suit a company's compliance standards. For example, the password policies can be implemented from a central point, or access data can be restored. SIMSme Business is still compatible with the leading mobile device management systems of BlackBerry, MobileIron, VMware, AirWatch and others.

"We have brought SIMSme Business to the market in order to make secure communication as simple as possible, also within companies," says Marco Hauprich, Senior Vice President Digital Labs at Deutsche Post. "With the Management Cockpit, we are now going a step further and offering a convenient solution that complies with the wishes and requirements of modern companies."

The Management Cockpit will be on display for the first time at CeBIT 2017, Hall 4, Booth A24 (MobileIron) from March 20 to March 24, 2017.
