Changes within the European Union Affairs Committee (EAC).

Organisational Announcement

Ágnes Mandelik (Magyar Posta) has been appointed as the new Vice-Chair of the European Union Affairs Committee, thus replacing her colleague Koppány Mátyási, who has served many years as the Vice-Chair of the EAC.

Ágnes is the Deputy Director of Regulatory Relations at Magyar Posta. In this position, she is responsible for all the postal regulatory issues, as well as representing the company at the National Regulatory Authority in proceedings or negotiations, on quality issues, complaints and other topics. Therefore, she is in regular direct contact with the Ministry on all regulatory related issues, in which, together with the input of Magyar Posta experts, she develops the Company’s opinions on draft regulations.

Although new in the PostEurop community, Ágnes has extensive experience in postal regulation and in the monitoring of European operators’ best practises.  During the implementation of the 3rd postal directive, Ágnes played a lead role in shaping the new regulatory environment, phrasing of the new postal law and other regulations. That experience also gave her the opportunity to take part in negotiations with the European Commission.

Michela Raco (Poste Italiane) has been appointed as the Vice-Chair of the E-Commerce Green Paper Working Group.

Prior to her work in Poste Italiane, Michela has worked for several years in Regulatory Affairs for the Telecom sector, as an influential representative of major key players such as Telecom Italia and Vodafone. Throughout her many years of experience in this sector, she has managed to develop strong public affairs, commercial, communication and business development skills.

Arriving at Poste Italiane in 2013, Michela currently holds the position of Head of International Regulatory Affairs. Here, she is responsible for managing the relationship with the European Commission and other International Authorities on regulatory issues related to postal, financial and Telecommunication services. She also develops and manages the strategic regulatory positioning of the Poste Italiane Group within the International environment, where she leads international working groups on postal issues such as: postal services, e-commerce and digital services.

On behalf of all Members, we would like to welcome Ágnes and Michela to their new role, and once again take this opportunity to thank Koppány, for all the work and success that he has done throughout these past few years as Vice-Chair of the EAC.
