Havre des Pas bathing pool was constructed on a popular beach on the east coast of Jersey in the 1890s at the instigation of the Jersey Swimming Club. Accessed by a bridge formed by a boardwalk on a raised pier, it was originally linked to the shore by a steel and timber structure; both the pool and the pier were restored to their former glory as part of a renovation project launched in 1994. The bathing pool fills up twice daily during high tide, leaving a large area of seawater for swimmers to enjoy at low tide. The pier, pool and lido match the surrounding Victorian architecture, creating a classic holiday feel to the area enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.
