Omniva’s new logistics centre has been launched – we are implementing the processes

On 4 November, Omniva moved all of their parcel sorting and parcel logistics to the new logistics centre and launched the work processes at the new place.

The reorganisation related to the moving of to the logistics centre will be finalised and the new processes will be implemented from in the following weeks. Due to the reorganisations, there may occur slight deviations in the processes and speed of moving parcels. We ask our customers to be understanding – the changes are carried out to provide a fast and better service in the future!

Omniva’s new logistics centre is located in Pähklimäe, Rae rural municipality, and is the most modern logistics centre in the Baltics. The French–Italian company Fives, which supplied and installed the world-class sorting line, also offers sorting technology to the world’s largest logistics companies such as DHL, TNT, and FedEx.

The new centre will also increase efficiency. In Omniva’s current sorting centre on Pallasti Street, the shipments come into contact with people on eight times. In the new centre, this number is reduced to one or two. The line has 400 different collectors, which is more than ten times more than what the current line has, and this greatly reduces the need for additional manual work in local distribution centres.

Let us launch the new centre with joy!
