Make your safe place official with Jersey's Post free SecureDrop service

Jersey Post is reminding customers that parcels cannot be delivered to unofficial locations at their address.

To ensure items are delivered safely and securely, Jersey Post require customers to give permission for items to be left in a SecureDrop location. This allows Jersey Post to manage and monitor deliveries more effectively, whilst minimising the potential risks for items to go missing.

The SecureDrop service allows items that are too big to fit through the letterbox, as well as those requiring a signature to be delivered to a SecureDrop location when customers are not at home. Customers who may have had items delivered to unofficial ‘safe places’, such as a porch or shed are strongly advised to provide consent by registering for the free SecureDrop service.

Niall McClure, Managing Director of Postal and Logistics commented: “We are encouraging islanders who have an unauthorised safe place within their home grounds to sign up for the free service, so that we are able to deliver on the first attempt and minimise the amount of missed delivery notes being left to customers”.

Customers wishing to sign up for the SecureDrop service can do so, online at: www.jerseypost.com/securedrop.
