Due to Upgraded Printing Equipment, Productivity Increased by 35%

Investments of LTL 500 thousand made by Lithuania Post a year ago into upgrade of printing equipment resulted in productivity increase of 35%, and income from printing services has risen by 45% in the course of 4 recent years.

"Despite the shrinking market and decreasing tendency in invoices sent by post, our investments served the purpose and the results are going up. If compared with other companies providing logistics of information, the main advantage of the Printing Services Department of Lithuania Post is end-to-end service, i.e. the service includes data handling, printing, dispatch, and delivery to addressees," Algirdas Simonis, Head of Printing Services Department of Lithuania Post, said.

According to Mr Simonis, the number of orders for printing services has been rising by 25% annually, and the results of the current year should be even better.

Presently, more than 100 companies – banks, communications, insurance, credit companies, and state institutions – use the printing services of Lithuania Post.

The Printing Services Department can prepare for delivery more than 100 thousand envelopes daily.

The printing and enveloping centre of Lithuania Post is fully computerized: the data provided are automatically processed, printed by high-speed laser printers, enveloped, and finally delivered to addressees.

The Public Limited Company Lietuvos paštas runs the widest network of postal access points in Lithuania. Lithuania Post provides postal, logistic, and financial intermediation services.
