Saluveer will begin work on 1 May 2017. The employment contract of the chairperson of the management board has been concluded for a period of five years.
According to Merike Saksa, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Post, Aavo Kärmas, the current chairperson of the management board, has made a major contribution to the development of the company. “I am very grateful to Aavo for his work. Under his leadership, Eesti Post became a strong international company whose potential can be fulfilled by the new chairperson.”

Joona Saluveer has been the head of Omniva’s Latvian business unit since 2012. Before Omniva, he was working in Lithuania as the head of various Estonian enterprises, such as Prike and Stokker. Saluveer has a master’s degree in business administration from Tartu University and a bachelor’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

The competition for the chairperson of the management board of AS Eesti Post has been announced due to the expiry of the employment contract of the current chairperson of the board, Aavo Kärmas, on 30 April 2017.
