Public Procurement Working Group Introduction The “Consultation on the modernisation of EU public procurement policy” launched by the European Commission (January-April 2011) opened a broad debate on the impact and effectiveness of EU public procurement legislation, with a view to collect priorities for the legislative reform to be presented by the end of 2011.
Objective The PostEurop Public Procurement working group prepared and submitted its reply to the European Commission’s consultation, following fruitful discussions within the Public Procurement WG, on 18 April 2011. The working group is actively engaged in the institutions’ activities in this context: it attended the Commission-hosted public procurement conference in Brussels on June 30th and is following the European Parliament’s non-legislative initiative on the modernisation of EU public procurement. The long-term objective of the working group is to follow the legislative process and represent/support therein the interests of PostEurop’s members. Main Activities Home |
