PostEurop welcomes new staff at Headquarters

Sébastien Houzé is the new Market Manager for PostEurop responsible for developing and driving Market activities. He comes from the Belgian Post, where he was the Senior Product Manager for Value Added Services. There he had the opportunity to discover what "document management" really meant for enterprises or public companies. Sébastien developed innovative hybrid solutions or integrated collection and franking services for outgoing mail.

As of today, Laetitia Bruninx replaces Nathalie Vandenameele as Management Assistant at PostEurop. Laetitia is already familiar with PostEurop having initially begun with PostEurop on an interim basis from June this year. Prior to joining PostEurop, she has worked as an administrative assistant in an engineering company active in the building industry and before that, she was the 'welcoming smiles' at the Silken Berlaymont**** (Formerly the Dorint Brussels****) for six years.

Guernsey Post Chief Executive Resigns

Gordon Steele has resigned from his position as Chief Executive of Guernsey Post.

The mutual decision between Mr Steele and the Board has been taken due to a difference of opinion regarding the future direction of the Company.

New CEO for HayPost

On 20 July 2010 Mr. Arman Khachaturyan was appointed CEO of HayPost, National Postal Operator of Armenia. Prior to the appointment, Mr. Khachaturyan served as acting Director General since October 2008.

New Management at Magyar Posta Zrt

On 24 June 2010 the Board of Directors of the Hungarian State Holding Company appointed István Kalmár as Chairman of Magyar Posta Zrt., and Pál Schmidt as Chief Executive Officer of the company. The position of Deputy CEO, Business is held by Dezső Varga, and the position of Chief Financial Officer is held by Attila Rajnai.

TNT Express raises rates in Europe by 3.5 percent

Haypost Postbank Opens in Armenia

'Haypost Trust Management', the Trust Manager for Haypost of “Haypost” CJSC, Armenia's national postal operator introduced today new postbanking services as part of their new modernization phase.  Apart from the traditional postal services offered in the branches, postbanking services as well as fax, photocopy, printing and internet services will be available to the public. The new phase kicked-off on July 2nd with the opening of Haypost's newly renovated and modernized branch no. 19 located at 23 Baghramyan Avenue.

People can call up information while on the move, read the mail delivered to their homes via the Swiss Post Box electronic mailbox and handle payments and account queries via PostFinance Mobile. By creating the product house 'eSolutions' in its Swiss Post Solutions unit and offering innovative products for both business and private customers, Swiss Post is turning into a hybrid service provider.

Green Post Project shows environmental and cost benefits from changing to electric and hybrid vehicles

The postal industry delivers millions of letters and parcels each day and is one of the everyday facts of life for European citizens. As such, the industry takes its environmental impact seriously and has committed to reducing its CO2 emissions. PostEurop, the European association of public postal operators, has today released the findings of its Green Post project, funded as part of the European Commission’s Sustainable Intelligent Energy Europe programme.

De Post-La Poste becomes bpost

After ten years of major change and a few months ahead of the full liberalisation of the postal market De Post-La Poste is changing its name. De Post-La Poste will become bpost. The company’s corporate visual identity, including logo, will also be modernised. The change will be implemented as from September.
