European postal operators strongly believe in the value of written communications and take their social and environmental role very seriously.  In order to ensure that the European postal industry's voice is heard by policymakers at European and international levels, PostEurop closely follows regulatory and policy developments which impact or may impact on the European postal business. 

PostEurop regularly publishes position and opinion papers on several policy issues such as EU legislation in the field of:

• Postal liberalisation
• Customs
• Standardisation
• VAT
• Services of general interest
• Transport and logistics.

PostEurop also defends the interests of its Members which are discussed in international organisations, such as postal issues raised by the UPU or the WTO / GATS negotiations on trade in services.
