Latest news On 30 April 2007, PostEurop Headquarters presented its Members with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Programme, aimed at measuring and assessing CO2 reduction efforts of participating postal operators. PostEurop Members were invited to join the programme which was officially launched and presented to external audiences on 15 June 2007. 16 postal operators have already signed up.

![]() On 31 October 2007, Poste Italiane presented in Perugia, Italy, the Green Post project carried out in cooperation with PostEurop and other European partners (i.e. Magyar Posta, La Poste-De Post, The City of Perugia, the University of Perugia/CIRIAF Legambiente, Ducati Energia and the University of Rousse, Bulgaria) and approved by the EC-EACI for its innovative nature and international commitment. The main objective of the project was to test an electric and hybrid vehicle (the Free Duc Quadricycle) for the delivery of mail in the historical centres of Perugia, Brussels and Szentendre (St. Andrew, Hungary).
