Jajce Castle is located in old town complex in the city of Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina at an elevation of 470 meters.The castle is first mentioned in written sources in 1396, during the rule of the count Hrvoje Vukčić. In 1461 the castle was the place of coronation of the last Bosnian king Stjepan Tomašević.

In January 2003, the historic urban site of Počitelj was proclaimed a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in 2007 has submitted an application for the UNESCO world heritage list.
